Community Corner: I Joined My G.I.R.L.S.!

One of the best things about working with Grady, Wright is the commitment the company has to the community. I have always enjoyed volunteering my time to different organizations like: The Boys & Girls Club and The Lupus Foundation of America, so it's great to work with a company who values community so much so, that all employees are encouraged to be active participants in a chosen cause or community organization.

When it came time to choose my organization/cause, I stumbled across My G.I.R.L.S. My G.I.R.L.S. (Gifted, Intelligent, Royal, Lil, Sisters) is an agency operating not for profit in its inaugural year that serves the Baltimore City Community*. The organization offers an All Star Prep Cheerleading program to girls between the ages of 4 and 14 that teaches them the dynamics of teamwork, dedication and strength.**

This organization is incredibly unique in that it is the ONLY All Star Cheer Program in Baltimore City, all of the coaches are volunteers and it operates as a mentorship program where the coaches (big sisters) support, motivate and encourage the cheerleaders (lil sisters).

We are currently preparing for the Cheer and Dance Extreme "The Showcase" competition in Atlantic City on March 28, 2015.

In order to raise money for competition expenses, we are hosting a raffle for a 32" TV, Tablet and a Nikkon Camera. Tickets are 1 for 5 and 5 for 20. You can E-mail me at Jada.Hudson@Gradywright.com for details on how to get a ticket.

We also have a Go Fund Me page! So if you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate it!

We are also planning a Pep Rally to involve the community and gain their support. More details on that coming soon!

I will be documenting my journey with My G.I.R.L.S. right here, so make sure you check in to see how things are going! I'm really excited to be a part of such an amazing organization and I look forward to what this year will bring!
